Project info

Released to coincide with the Rolling Stones ‘Fifty Year celebrations’ and their new compilation album ‘Grrr!’ at the end of 2012, the video for ‘Doom and Gloom’ showing the band in exquisite form, was directed by Grammy winner Jonas Akerlund and shot by DoP Pär Eckberg, aided by Gaffer Eric Cuffini - with equipment supplied by the team at Panalux Paris.

The group filmed the footage for their first new song in seven years behind closed doors in a Paris warehouse just prior to playing five big shows in London and New York. Noomi Rapace, star of the cult movies The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Prometheus joins them and the results are bound to alarm some and please others. Noomi plays a zombie shooting bad girl who not only joins the Stones performance but also demonstrates some marvelous rock n roll / trash the place skills.

A new Rolling Stones video is always bound to make an impact and just proves that the Stones are still not only uber creative, but are still pushing boundaries after fifty years together.
