Project info

Curmudgeonly pensioner Arthur is the husband of terminally ill Marion who loves to perform and is part of a local choir, an idea that Arthur abhors. Even the presence of enthusiastic, young choir director Elizabeth can’t encourage him.

However, as Marion’s health declines, Arthur is keen to please his dying wife and agrees to take her place in the choir. The transition for Arthur proves to be more trying than he anticipated. His experiences in this new social environment take him on a journey of self-discovery and help him develop the skills that he’ll need in his imminent transition to life without Marion. Serviced out of our Manchester base, Panalux worked with Cinematographer Carlos Catalan and Gaffer Carolina Schmidtholstein on this heartwarming comedy drama.

A Song For Marion opened across the UK on 22nd February 2013.
