Project info

Panalux’s Broadcast and Event service are supplying lighting for Optomen’s latest project Hotel GB, which will be checking in to our screens on 1st October on Channel 4. Retail expert Mary Portas and top chef Gordon Ramsay will take over a hotel and train unemployed youngsters to run it.

Hotel GB is one of two new Channel 4 shows focusing on youth employment. The idea is to offer a training environment within a working hotel to kick-start the careers of young people in the service industry. They will aim to make a profit which will then benefit two charities, Springboard and The Princes Trust.

Staffing the hotel are some of tv’s most popular personalities, Dr Christian Jessen, Phil Spencer, Kirstie Allsop, Katie Piper, Kim Woodburn and Hilary Devay who will act as managers and mentors to the trainees.

The programme trailer was serviced by Panalux London who worked with DoP Denzil Armour-Brown with Gaffer John Clarke. You can watch it above.
